Twelve Days of Photos

The winding down of another year is used by most to reflect on the happenings, events, and emotions and I'm no different. It was a pretty incredible year for me, photographically speaking. I thought I'd re-live the year looking at some of the photographs that I took, in the style of the twelve days of Christmas. So for each of the next twelve days, I will post a new photo with a little background and story. These aren't necessarily the best photos I took this year, but some of my favorites.

I'm not going to rank them, I'm simply going to go chronologically.

So now you know what to expect, here....we... go....

Photos from Gatlinburg

Click image to view full size.Yesterday I uploaded some of my photos from my wife and I's 15th wedding anniversary trip to Gatlinburg, TN and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We had a great time - it's a really beautiful area, despite the eyesore that is Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We spent two days driving down and back and two days there hiking around the park near Gatlinburg. We stayed in a private cottage at the Buckhorn Inn - highly recommended! The included breakfast was absolutely fantastic every day.
